  • Whilst admittedly I haven't been doing much stretching or training this week, yesterday left me a broken man.

    After doing 50 sunny kilometres with my usual pack of riders, I was toasted. Had to have a 15 minute sit-down to get myself together and then tail-between-my-legs to Effingham train station.

    Lessons learned: do your fucking stretching. Actually hit your 250km a week riding target. Do not, under any circumstances, drink an entire bottle of red wine to yourself while watching ONE race at the Nocturne, after limitless beers and followed by a brace of old fashioners. Put me in the bin.
