I had no idea Cinelli NJS thing existed. Apparently it does though.
I call bullshit on that listing though.

Sold for £600 on the forum, was crashed, now £750 on eBay.
And pulled for an "error" in description early this morning and then immediately relisted with a very low start price but still no mention of having been crashed ...... £70 Colnagohttp://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?ff3=2&pub=5574889051&toolid=10001&campid=5336525415&item=161324541057&mpt=8388307
Went for £795, not a bad price - for a frame the seller told me he'd crashed.

was seriously tempted by this Condor Track for 27s, until someone went wild bidding himself up (why do people do that anyway??)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-531-Condor-Track-Frame-Fixie-/181427466866
My thought is always "if I can recover it, it's worth it", specially frames that already worn out the paint etc. But I think the price is already beyond reasonable, can someone convince me otherwise as now I got itchy?

Considering whole Condor tracks go from £450-£350...

But ultimately it's what it's worth to you. I have not bid on a small track frame as it was overpriced, but maybe I should have as my size is rare as hen's teeth. Sometimes it's not worth making a point of things.
If your size is common though, it may be worth waiting. Or, if you really want it get it :)

I don't think that it would have been built for 27's,more likely tubs(700c size),nice frame but it really depends how much you want it,i doubt you could re-sell for more than around £220 although i may be wrong. The zero bidder jacking the price is a bit suss though, maybe the vendor has a friend or another ebay account himself?
Best advice, just bid what you are happy to pay then walk away,if you win then good,if not, well you've probably saved yourself some regret later. -

Yeah, it's just one of those things, I was not even looking for a frame and then fell a bit for this one. I'll give it a pass though.

Best advice, just bid what you are happy to pay then walk awayThis stuff always look very fishy. Can't understand why anyone would do that if not for what you say, an orchestrated move to drive the price up. It's already beyond what I'd pay for it, just wanted to see if someone would change my perception of how much it's worth but that was wishful thinking.

"Only actual bids (not automatic bids generated up to a bidder's maximum) are shown. Automatic bids may be placed days or hours before a listing ends"
I think he was actually fighting someone else who's not shown in the list.
Also you can put a higher bid if you are a current winner, but it won't show rise the actual high bid itself.
You're just saying eBay to automatically re-bid for you up to that new price if someone overbids me.Based in Twickenham, I could have gone and picked it up myself...but I don't need another bike!!!

On that note...how much is the above Cougar track worth? My size, tempted as small tracks are so rare but...I'm too practical to overspend :)
-
• #51221
^ Tricky one.
I would say circa £250 due to rarity and the fact the Cougar were making bikes for champions at the time (ie- Boardman)
-
• #51222
I have a feeling it might go for a bit more than 250, due to the amount of attentions it is/has been receiving. In the HHSB thread too. Plus 21 bids, with 6 days left.

JWestland - How about this? Too small?
Dave Marsh's are nice frames, wish I own(ed) one.
-
• #51224
^ Tx but Jwestland is that short-arsed in her upper body she needs a 50 by 49-51 ;) Well I shall wait and see but it may be out of my reach then.
If seller had put up the right size right away I would have nabbed it at £185..ah well.
At a 49 cm TT it's really only suitable for somebody 5"3' to maybe 5"6', will we see a godawful build for a too tall person/t-rex soon if an non LFGSSer with more cash than sense nabs it? ;)

pathracer frame needs love and a new fork 54 cm...£70 BIN
Fuck! One of those situations where he'd possibly get more if he sold the frameset on its own. Could be a bargain for someone.
