Friend blew up at the 150km mark and so we detoured to Haslemere and got the train. Still a 100 mile day. And no walking (but plenty of stopping) up the Beacon.
Found it hard work in the heat but still a lovely ride, we were right up against the time limits. Would like to think I'd have grimped round the rest of it though, but it was not to be.
Thanks for the various DAS! Although hard to oblige when knackered and descending at 30mph+
