Oh and ccleaner used to check the start ups and see if anything that is there that shouldn't be.

If you look at the tools section and the start up button you can see what is running on the computer and the browsers. I find it a handy way to see what is there, and what shouldn't be.

New system and now I can't connect to the interwebz. I think the firewall has become impenetrable.

I stuck and in need of a little help...
...I've built my 1st PC and it's not starting - I got a black screen, the cpu fan spins, power supply works, graphics card fans spin but no image and no beep.

any ideas?

What type of mother board is it?

No beeps suggests its not starting up.
You certain all the different power connectors are plugged in?

System:
Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3
Corsair CX430 power supply
AMD FX 4300 CPU
Sapphire HD 7850 GPU

I bought a motherboard testing kit to show LED's and power up but no success. I don't know if it's the Ram, CPU or power supply.

If it was a RAM, CPU or other problem you would get beep codes.

As your getting nothing this means its not booting.
Could be a faulty mother board, or PSU - check all your connections.

But might just be shorting out.. I would try removing it and re-fitting.

Can lend you a working corsair modular power supply.

I take the memory out and see if anything happens..

Install noscript and learn what the fuck you are going on.

Oh and for the non booting pc try booting with the onboard graphics for the time being then install the card after.

Double check the GPU power, some will power the fan from the slot and the GPU from the plugs so it's not getting power, might have a warning light on the board if its a reference design GPU but most hide it under an oversized cooler on non reference boards.

I found ddg no where near as good as google for finding what I wanted.
