In fact it's slightly bias towards foffa because it doesn't highlight the inferior quality and reaction from the initial phase of his sales.
Odd that you should mention that.

From Urban75
bumpfoffa, an east london based company making bikes for the cool-to-be-a-dickhead crowd. the ethic seems to be "if the colours match we can charge what we like for any PoS", this scaff bar frame with fucked steering angle monstrosity is yours for 350 quid:

the testimonials on their website are pretty laughable if you can be arsed to look.

The testimonials are a thing of beauty. Pure comedy gold:
Benjamin Steinmeyer said:
“Once upon a time there was a lost boy in the huge city. Just after three days in London
the smart boy realised how bad the public transport was. Desperately searching for a smooth ride,
he was about to despair because of all the rubbish he found in bikeshops and on gumtree.
But destiny was generous. His way crossed the path of a guy from Italy called Dani.
Out of all the huge selection of bikes in Dani’s bedroom he choose just the right bike.
Back home being famous for destroying bikes and originally a moutainbike rider, the boy
had no mercy on his first racer. As usual, he pushed very hard, every day.
A couple of times he visited Dani, because there were things to be tightened up.
Dani never disappointed him, no matter what the concern was. Moreover he suprised the boy
with supreme mechanical skills.
And if the traffic didn’t kill him yet, he is still pedalling.
Thanks for all the support and some great advice. Keep the peace”
i think dani was letting his creative juices run wild by the time he'd invented young benjamin. -

a friend faceache just said she was on the brink of buying one of these. one face full of chloroform and a blacked up panel van later and i think we're ok. a close one.

The thing that astonishes me, and I'm no linguist, is why anyone would want to buy something called Foffa.
As soon as I saw that name (in a thread title a few years ago) I thought 'anti'.
I don't think the word has any good connotations.
Same reason as why I wouldn't buy a Smeg fridge.Foffa

i blame Mr & Mrs Foffa.

I wouldn't buy a Smeg fridge
But people do, apparently it's considered a premium brand, and Dannii Foffa isn't so far removed from Gianni Motta in terms of rolling off the tongue.

also Smeg fridges actually look nice.

To be fair though, Gianni Motta was a pro rider who rode like a boss, won the Giro back in the 60's, and has produced some beautiful bikes upon which he has been happy to place his name.
Danni Foffa used to work 'in the city' but we are told is 'passionate' about bikes whilst churning out some fugly hi-pros so I guess it's all evens.

But people do
I know, Foffas get bought too.
They obviously aren't as superficial as me.
Even if Foffas were as good as smeg I still wouldn't buy one just for its name.
Is nobody else put off by names? -

I am put off by any form of branding on clothes. I have some t-shirts with holes in where I have cut out the logos.

I don't think that edit was Dani's, but it is probably fair.
Cheap = £80 supermarket BSO
Inexpensive = £400 Foffa
Mid-price = £1000 OTP
etc.
It's not a comment on the value for money, just a more realistic adjective in a bicycle market where OTP bikes go up to £10k+
