For Sale: Campagnolo Shamal Pista C-Record . Vento . Wheelset

Was hoping to reunite these with my old Merckx, but it's looking less likely, so up for grabs,

Campagnolo Shamal C-Record Pista Rear Wheel with matching(ish) front Vento - SOLD

Shamal -* 700c, Tubular, C-record Pista Hub, C-Record Lockring, 120mm spacing, 16 spoke. No brake use, but a few marks and light scratches as per normal with a used shamal. one spoke needs tensioning so slightly out of true, still rideable, but best to get it done. needs a slim hex key for the job (readily available online or at a good lbs) which I never got round to picking up, or there is an elusive campag made tool. Once you have the tool you could rebuild on to a clincher rim if preferred.*

Vento - 700c, Clincher, newer record hub, 100mm, qr skewer, 16 spoke. There's signs of brake use, but plenty of life left and could be cleaned/polished up to look very presentable.

Selling as a pair.

Wheels currently in Cornwall so will need postage.

The Shamal is a pretty rare item, seem to go for well in excess of £500 for a used pair. As front shamals are more readily available I'd say the money is in the rear, the Vento less so but increasingly scarce. considering you'll potentially need a tool, or few minutes of a lbs time, and a decal (?) I reckon £250 + postage costs for the pair to kick it off.
