  • Bonus pics:
I found this in the store. It would be funny if that was an impulse buy for someone.

    How much was it?
    And where is it?

  • Most Chinese stores have em or can order them.

  • The place I saw it at was here https://www.google.com/maps/place/Mitte+Meer+GmbH/@52.554979,13.41208,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x830119188ffeaa45

I am not sure how much it was though.

I'm en route to Germany via Mallorca and Ibiza but I doubt I'll be able to sneak that through customs.

  • Hah, well it was a mediterranean store if that helps. I am sure they have some of those in Mallorca or Ibiza ;) Otherwise, if you put that little guy in one of those dog crates you could probably get it through.

  • the chicken burger was forgettable

    chicken burgers are always forgettable

  • Unless it's the Spit & Roast buttermilk chicken in a bap with hot sauce; burger or sandwich? Either way, properly amazing

  • Nice - Slow poached is great - still working out what my favourite temperature is for a whole egg. I did something a bit wild for breakfast using said sous-vide circulator the other day and vacuum packed egg yolk - poached at 70 degrees for about 25 minutes - it basically makes yolk fudge - which is pretty brilliant spread on sour dough with plenty of butter, salt and black pepper...

I think they do something like this at Simon Rogan's new place, see Cheese and Biscuits latest review, slow cooked egg yolk, anything made with egg yolks = top twat

  • I stole it off the Coi guy - Daniel Patterson. Man, eggs are just so cool!

Went to Primuer last night - Its on Petherton Rd in Highbury - It was pretty good! Had a pork terrine (ok, tasted a little bit like a stuffing for a turkey!), some delicious cuttlefish with chunks of lemon, butter and capers - super tender, tasty, and a piece of rump steak with lots of garlic butter and snails, which was well cooked - and full of flavour - though i'd have liked more. The real winner was the wine. Ill post the name tomorrow. Anyway, really nice to have a cool neighborhood place just round the corner from my house - im sure i'll eat there lots more!

  • Waitrose buyers are John Malkoviching my head at the moment
