They're better for one reason - they're dual sided actuated, rather than single like the BB7, instead of ensuring that the static side is as closed to the rotor as possible, all you need to do is loosen bolt, squeeze levers as hard as possible, then tighten bolt, volia, already set up.
I was really happy with the performance of the BB7, more than powerful enough, the only thing I dislike is merely the single sided actuation.
