There's somerhing wrong with his reasoning though. Stiffer spokes in the high tension side will not give more equal flex. Quite the opposite, I'd say.
I'd agree. I don't see how to read 'flex' as saying what needs to be said here.
I think 'strain' is the correct term for what is being equalised, but 'stretch' would do too.
