Also, some of the denser components of the aircraft were found to have gone straight through and landed ahead - one of the engine cores did this.
In fact, some landing gear was more recently discovered wedged between two buildings down the road this time last year. All the "no-plane" theories just seem to be a form of denial and it makes sense that some people would react that way, as its a horrible thing to have happened. It was such an un-precedented event (no one has ever crashed an airliner in to a mock skyscraper in testing) and so many thousands of eye witnesses that its like that thing about bumble bees: according to maths, they can't fly but they obviously can so the maths were wrong.

To clarify... 2 planes definately hit WTC.
Speculation is whether they were terrorist hijackers chancing their luck.

A calculated demolition proportioning blame for exploitation overseas.

Aaaaaaanyway.... Less conspiracy theories, more planez.

If you were going to speculate for any length of time, there probably ought to be some evidence base for the alternative theory.
I have nothing but bad things to say about GW Bush and his gang, but as far as 11/9 goes, Occam's Razor most definitely applies.

800 KM/H CRASH TEST. PLANE AGAINST WALL - YouTube
the plane seems to vapourise, the bits that appear to go through are i think the wings passing the edges of the concrete block
-
• #1385
That was a concrete block rather than steel girders and office furniture. It would be great to stand just behind it when they did the test - shit-you-pants scary though.

Scale issues aside, the exterior of a skyscraper is more like a sieve than a concrete block.

"You can fly as low as you want to go really. Anything below 10 feet is difficult to judge"
I like that.

I love the Ultimate Air Racing aircraft.
I've been trying to to find an online version of a particular Breitling advert for a long time and not been able to find it. It's a chromed Spitfire that was tuned to compete in Ultmate Air Racing and it looks stunning.

Tangential question:
Where would you go to see a spitfire show? Ideally near or (easy travel from) London.
Potential birthday prezzie for my brother. -

Not as cool as a full air show but I see this lot flying from Bentwaters quite a lot

I would recommend the Studio Ghibli animated film The Wind Rises for any plane fans.
It follows a fictionalised version of Jiro Horikoshi, the designer of some WW2 Mitsubishi fighters, but has a lot more planes of that era really beautifully drawn, including a Caproni Ca 60, which I assumed must have been the figment of the filmmakers imagination:

Will look out for this, thanks.
