  • gah, new machine time - Betty the Bezerra has been replaced by a Quickmill Andreja.

    Had Betty and the grinder dialled in a treat and now I'm trying to dial in the grind for the Quickmill.

    I'm using 18g of fresh ground coffee. Espresso starts about 10 secs in and seems ok for about another 5 secs and then gets very watery. The puck had a small pool of water on top. There's a bit of crema there but the espresso is bitter and watery and there's no 'guiness' effect where the crema gently settles, more a 3mm film of crema that sits on top. I'm using fresh beans

    Any thoughts?
