If you're going to run a lower gear to get rid of you knee problems then perhaps running a larger one again will just bring them back? Just a thought.

Yeah I hear what you're saying. But for the past month, my knee pains have subsided greatly. If 48/17 causes minor pain I'll just switch to spin-to-win48/19. No biggie. 50/19 has been treating me well though.
