I have a set of wooden rims on a 50s Pista

Much bendy, so vintage, such smooth.

Is there any non traditional use of wood that isn't the absolute worst? Bikes, rims, mudguards, handlebars, phone cases, keyboards, shoes, forks, et fucking cetera.

The closest the world has ever gotten that I can think of are the 'woodie' surf wagons. That idea was ruined later though by 80s laminate on grocery getters.

People keep on trying it, and they can all fuck off.

This thread seems to have branched off from where pingo had started. TBH, I am stumped as to why anyone would want a wooden handlebar, but beech to their own - would have to have some deep rooted issues I guess.

In seriousness, it looks alright, but would be interest to know on the point Arducis raised.
