For Sale: Casati Elisse Due lo-pro

Posted on
  • So this is up for sale to fund a new TT build.

Casati Ellisse Due 56cm (nominally, I would say it actually rides a bit bigger than that)

    Columbus EL tubing (super lightweight)
650c front, 700c rear with super tight clearances.

Two forks - yellow Kinesis carbon 650c threadless and the original chrome columbus EL forks (threaded)

    Bad bits:

Paint is tatty and the top section of the seat-tube is missing paint as the seatpost was stuck.
A few small dings to the chainstay.
Wedge stuck in the threaded chrome forks - this has happened before and just requires heating with a blow-torch etc on the steerer to free it.

    Comes with the following:

Frame and 2 forks mentioned above.
650c clincher Mavic CXP12 to Miche hub front wheel with Conti Gatorskin.
Campag ultratorque bottom bracket and cranks
    Miche 1"threadless headset
80mm Stem + Masi pursuit bars (deep drop)
27.2 seatpost and either a white concor or a fake snakeskin iscaselle.
Choice of a fixed wheel (system-x to Rigida) or PX a57 10speed shimano rear wheel.

This is it with the carbon forks (disc + 3g, TT bars NOT included!)

This is it with its chrome forks and wheels/saddle/bars that can be included

    How it currently is:

£420 for the lot - collected from Bristol or I will post for extra (should be <£20)

  • this had better be being replaced by a new mean TT machine? GLWS!

  • that's the plan! :)

one of these to replace it:

  • Will get some better pics up this evening with it built as described.

  • pm'd

  • oh - and 10% of the sale price will go to the forum :)

  • Had the exact frame before, rides like a dream and sweet as fuck. Somebody should grab this at this price, good price if you ask me, buyer wont regret it!

This was my one just for reference.

  • Cheers - yeah it is a lovely frame - Casati are master frame builders up there with the best of Colnago, DeRosa etc. I think Rouluer issue 29 has a good article on them for anyone interested in there history. John Prolly is a fan of Casati (but don't let that put you off :P)

Columbus EL is also one of my all time favourite tube sets - super light and really good to ride.

  • Popped it together in fixed mode (I think this is about 92GI so a brake would be a good idea...)

  • Lovely stuff and a good price for everything. Out of interest how much for just the frame + original fork?

  • Could do the frame and original chrome fork for £250

  • Popped it together in fixed mode (I think this is about 92GI so a brake would be a good idea...)

Price drop. £400 as pictured here (plus the original forks)

  • OK, down to £380 last chance before it's off to eBay

  • OK, haven't had a chance to list this on eBay yet, so last chance before I do.
    Offers considered

  • frame and forks now on ebay (managed to free the stuck stem wedge)

I haven't put any of the parts up (apart from the carbon forks) - so if you want anything then shout
