• So... this appears to be coming up.

I've decided to work out the costs and sell you the tickets already :)

    Let's begin with the costs:
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SE6yzz2SjdncPtd_3EFvW5T9FvIFn73HBAnCa4Bp1yQ/edit?usp=sharing

There are 48 riding slots, with a maximum of 16 riders on the track at any given moment.

I am going to ask for this session to be part of the Pathway to Accreditation, so it should count towards that.

We can take our own bikes, but there are very specific rules on them (fixed, brakeless, etc) down to the tyres (black only, no colour compound).

The bike hire per rider is £10 and includes the helmet. It doesn't explicitly state that it includes the shoes, but I believe it does.

With 48 riders, we can sell tickets that include the whole thing for only £30 all-in. That includes the session, coaches, Velodrome, bike hire, helmet hire, shoes.

I'm happy to charge you £20 if you're bringing your bike... but if roll up on a bike you can't ride on the track (the coaches have the first and last word on that), you're going to feel pretty silly. But I will give you the option, and the responsibility to ensure the bike is OK for the 'drome will be yours.

Anyhow, as you can see from the costings, it will be extremely reasonable.

I'm hoping to put the tickets on sale tomorrow evening for £30 each.

Because the price is basically as close to costs as we can reasonably be, we're going to make the tickets non-refundable. This is super-cheap, not a corp event, and if it goes well we want to do it more. The more people that turn up and ride the velodrome, the more we can do this in future. I'd love to make it a regular thing.
