I nabbed this from the supermad wordpress site (which is a touch out of date, so treat the flyer as gospel(ish)) - I'm sure Tricky will correct me if i'm wrong, or he'll add in some leather trousers, coz he's like that.
"It is simply a 2–up pursuit done as a Madison.
The distance is over 6 laps at Herne Hill. And it’s based on fastest times. So no sprint laps.
Heats start with 4 pairs of riders at 4 stations. Each station has a timer. (Who brings times back to recorder please note!)
The fastest 1 or 2 pairs through to finals. More teams more heats.
First rider has a standing start. Second rider is somewhere ahead ready to be hand slung into race. First rider who is in the race comes behind second rider and slings them in.
The exchange must happen below the stayers line (blue line) As soon as it is safe and practicable resting rider must get above the stayers line.
You cannot ride through an exchange – you must go above it.
Simples see." -

As a you are a BCC member, why not come down the night before and help get the track ready? :)
As a reward you get club track time (properly coached and everything) before and beers after. Details are up on the club forum matey.

I think I’m going to miss this because I need to be intermediate training accredited and race accredited but the intermediate accreditation is on the 14th June and the race accreditation is on the 13th!!!! Next ones aren’t until July. Boo!! :(
-
• #20
I don't think you actually need to be accredited for Open Season events. You just need a valid BC license.
-
• #21
Ah well, that’s sorted then! It’s just for the training and track league then?
-
• #22
Open season policy is that the organiser makes the decison, so double check with any friendly brixton cyclers you know to be sure.
-
• #23
in for that.
-
• #24
Will anyone bring Dan food and drink while he's waiting?

I live near by. Can always pop home for a sandwich.
Back, biggerer and badderer than ever before.
So far the prize fund is up to a whopping £1700 cash, with a full program of events for seniors/juniors and women.
Of course it wouldn't be Brixton Super Madison without the epic beer tent, this time with brews from Kernel and Brixton Brewery plus cider TBC (so Hillbilly gets a proper post race recovery drink). Captain Cliff will be back with the epic Jerk BBQ (with veggie/vegan options naturally) and there will be the usual stalls and bike jumble.

Once again big thanks to 6pt for the amazing artwork.
