I'm doing it, all 3 days, I'll be on a white Canyon in Bath CC kit rather than LFGSS kit though. If I see anyone in LFGSS gear I'll DAS!

Sadly had to pull out due to work committments.
Ride at your own pace. There will be plenty ahead of you and plenty behind you.

The same kit of three days..
I'll be wearing my normal mercenary wear... whatever is clean.

Assume the pace that gets set on the first day will be unsustainable.. should I go with it or take the time loss and regain it the following two?
If it's unsustainable then you can't stick with it, whatever you want to do.
Just get out of hte wind and sit on someones wheel if you're struggling, SO much easier sheltered.

Tommy DM me if you're riding solo and you can set out with us. As skinny says, it's best just to ride at your own pace but it's good to stay with a group of similar baility to share the work. I've not done it before but live closeby and have recced days 2 and 3, day three is /tough/ but it should be fun.

Thanks for the advice guys.. but remember you can't win the thing finishing behind someone elses wheel.
My brother was 9th two years ago, regrets not having gone harder on day one.
Planning on seeing what the weather does and make hay while the sun shines.I'll be riding a hideous but fast black/blue trek Domane, probably wearing brixton CC bibs

The weathercast is improving a little.
I predict three days of awesomeness. -

well that was fun, two days of solid riding at abut 30kph followed by a stiff knee and 110m of painful riding at 25kph... better luck next year!

Wow that was tough 3 days.. hadn't really understood the 336 miles included 7672 meters of climbing before starting.
The continual rain of day one meant I had to push harder than I planned just to stay warm.
The continual wind of day two meant I was blown all over the place and couldn't bring my aerowheels into play on the flatter stage, blewup halfway and pedalled squares home.
Day three was brutal continual up and down through exmoor, picked up a fast group and hammered it home until 5 miles from the finish line when I had a double blowout from drawing pins left unhelpfully scattered on the course. Thankfully a friendly triathlete threw me a long value inner tube to get me home.
Great event, thankgod I never have to do it again.

well done tommy, shame about the pins... I didn't have any issues like that but you should get in touch with the organisers who might be interested to hear.

Mentioned it to them, couldn't be sure it wasn't just bad luck but never had tacks in my tyres before - I surprised there wasn't more upset from the general public, we took over the whole of Somerset for the three days.
Results are up but seem a little wonky at the moment.

^^ Yeah man, good work! My knee blew up badly at the first feed stop on the final day, so I had to double back on the long route and take the short route. Gutted.
Pretty sure I don't want to do anything like this again. -

Weather aside, how was this? What were the routes like? And how well run was it? And lastly, did y'all camp?
Am thinking of doing it this year but want to get some insight, so all feedback would be good.
Ta!
Anyone forumungers doing/done this?
I've signed up again for all three days / 335 miles.
Broke my leg training for it a few year ago.
Would be nice to finish.
