You can always get a lightweight jersey for something in between PTJ and Classic.

anyone manage to pay by euros for delivery to UK? Looks like you can save a few ponds by paying Halifax credit card. As soon as I choose United Kingdom it goes to pounds automatically.

on long, hot rides I find that I get rather noticeable dried-sweat patches on the shoulders
Club jersey in 35+ Celcius is much the same...

The Coolblack treatment works really well
Not too convinced about this myself, TBH. Mine feels noticeably hotter. Also, tell me how many Sky riders you have seen in this Giro wearing the standard PTJ...next to none.

Planning my longest ride that has a possibility of showers tomorrow, 14 degrees supposedly, brevet jersey and gilet, arm warmers(?)
Cant decide whether I need leg warmers and a rain jacket or if ill be fine with the gilet
-
• #16657
gilet should be ok, just check forecast before you leave.

You boys wearing base layers under those sweat/salt stained jerseys?
The ptj is my favourite. Not too hot or cold, fit's great, holds heaps of shit in the pockets, doesn't smell.
I do not like the yellow band on the black though, wish they would return to white.

How do you like the brevet jersey?

I'd have died of heatstroke, so no. :P

Was the first ride, was excellent with the gilet under light shower turned to absolute downpour
Dont know what else to say really, i have a longsleeve and a club jersey to compare it too, much prefer it to the longsleeve and more practical than the club due to full zip and better pocket selection, i like having the front cheat pocket, gilet was great for light showers too

Shouldn't be any hotter with a summer base layer. Saves your jersey.

Yes, but a slvlss one, hence the sweaty shoulders. Got some short sleeved PT base layers ordered.

You lot are gross.
Does anyone know if the 20% discount for filling in the survey stacks with sale discounts?

Tried (albeit not the Rapha base layers). I find the extra layer makes me hotter than the added wicking cools me down. To each their own, though.

It does. I got the Cross Transfer Jacket for a frankly insane price.

Picked up for far cheaper than my Patagonia Nano Puff, actually. For a Primaloft ONE jacket, the Transfer isn't crazy even at RRP.

Has any of the waffa lovers tried the Cafe du Cyclist stuff?
Quite taken by their bib With the built in sleeveless baselayer. Looks like something I'd get a lot of summer use out of. Might match it With one of their lightweight merino jerseys.

Some of their stuff is nice but pricier. Other items can be overly fussy.

You can't do this. Currency is dictated by delivery country.

I was just thinking of these bibshorts With a lucienne lightweight merino mix jersey. Pretty fuss-less. Would do me for Nordic summer riding.

Interesting concept. Surely sizing has to be spot on though?

The top half is synthetic mesh.
It looks awesome. But lets face it. Usually you can layer a long, short, sleeveless base layer, all of various thickness, and of various materials. So its far less clever than standard bibs really.
Except if its summer weight bibshort weather for me. Its nearly always short sleeved synthetic mesh base layer weather. So it'd work great.
I like them. They're close-fitting but not too thin, and I like the cut. The sleeves are quite long, so mixing PT jerseys and classic jerseys means a blurred tan line. The only problem I've found is with the black ones in hot conditions. The Coolblack treatment works really well - they don't feel warmer than a lighter-coloured jersey - but on long, hot rides I find that I get rather noticeable dried-sweat patches on the shoulders. Like after the Nove Colli:
