Just in case any of you out there don't know, the DernyFest and Women's Omnium this Sunday is dedicated to Derek. No more entries for the Dernys are being taken, but all are welcome to come and watch. There's beer and burgers, riders from all over the country plus pacers and riders from Italy and Belgium. Its free to watch but we are passing the bucket round for St Christophers Hospice, Sydenham.
Racing starts at 12.30 and the final for the Derny race will be about 4.30.

Agreed. Nice to see young Freddie Wright killing it on a restricted 90" gear when everyone else was on > 100"

interesting to see the derny racing as a complete newbie to all that. We were the ones messing around in the middle playing bike polo. Great day for it!

There were a couple of other youth riders as well as Freddie on restricted gears - Mitch Powell from Team Terminator, and Ethan Hayter, VCL.

Freddie's win in the minor final was fantastic to watch.
