My mate has a Shimano RX100 groupset. It is 8 speed but comes with STI shifters. Would that be of any interest? You'd probably need to get hold of some wheels though.

Thanks Root, any idea if this is any good? its seems that it was a kind of 105 comparable of its day.
Any idea on price? i'd need something with a clamp on front mech I think so if the RX100 has this then i might be interested.
Still prefer an Ultegra or higher spec groupset if anyone's got one?

I think it was like the tiagra really, I rode on it for a while before my mate bought it. Its a braze on mech but i have an adapter somewhere for a 28.6mm frame. The shifters are a higher spec shimano 600 (ultegra). There is a chain, cassette and bottom bracket as well.
I think he was after 120 for it.
if you wanted more modern I'd keep a look out for 10 speed at the minute, since 105 and tiagra groups have been so cheap new you can pick these up v. cheap.
Hi Folks,
I'm looking to upgrade my Gazzelle from a beautiful Shimano 600 Arabesque groupset to something more modern.
Looking at a Shimano Ultegra groupset, possibly 6500. Is there any out there? i'm not wedded to this but looks like it is a top set that also looks good with a steel frame. Otherwise anything mid 90's onwards, with brake lever shifters, preferably including wheels.
I'm based in London but can travel to collect.
Cheers,
Steve
