• I'm looking to buy a new frameset for a new build since I've slowly accumulated most the parts for one over a few months.
I'd probably use it mostly for everyday commuting and it'll be going with a 6700/7900 group because I got most of it at a bargain price..
I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for yet which is why I need some help. I know that I don't want a frame with bulky looking tubing, I like the sleek look of the older steel frames but open to suggestions.
I'm maybe looking for a aluminium/carbon forks kinda thing, or just a nice steel frame..
Just wondering if a £250ish budget is appropriate and what I should be looking for.
I wouldn't mind splashing out a bit more on a nicer frame.
There's a specialized epic on the market for a good price, its full carbon. I've read some pretty good reviews and some not so good reviews on it.
I also have a Harry Quinn frame, need to have it checked to see what frame maker era its from but thought something too modern on it would just look odd, but I'm contemplating it.
I don't claim to know a massive deal about bikes, so help would be great appreciated!
