Whether you are knowledgable about prices or ignorant
Up to date or behind the times
Looking at a cheap and nasty area, a middling one or an expensive one

If you look at London prices you will be utterly gob-smacked, constantly and repeatedly. I never ceased to be amazed despite spending big chunks of my working life looking at the prices of different things in different bits of London.

I've recently bought in Aberdeenshire, which is slightly inflated by the oil industry, however, london is on a different planet. My parents are downsizing so will still have to spend a fair chunk of change to get somewhere they are happy with but it's all relative I suppose!
