I've got a pair of 36 spoke Open 4 Ceramic wheels with 105 rear hub (8/9/10 speed fitment) & Mavic 500 front. These were on one of my 90s bikes that hardly got any use, a team replica Gitane Vitus GTI.
The front is absolutely cracking condition, the Mavic hub is fantasticly smooth, the rear though in equally unused condition has a small patch of the ceramic coating flaked off on one side, the 105 hub runs smooth enough and the wheel brakes fine (I might have some ceramic road pads somewhere though you can use normal compound anyway)
Double butted spokes all round, rims run straight and they are plenty solid for even touring duty. I've run a 32mm tyre on Open 4s and even round tight corners with my 100+kg the rear never budged, certainly 28s are not going to be a problem.
Bearing in mind the generally top condition but also taking into account the missing bit of ceramic coating I'd go to £160 including insured courier
Let me know if of interest -

have a mavic cosmic elite wheelset for sale here: http://www.lfgss.com/thread126924.html has a small dent on the rear rim which doesn't affect performance in any way.

the hope hubs are laced to tubular rims so not what you're after - I do have a pair of stock wheels that came with my cross bike [specialized crux elite] - They're Mavic CXP 22's laced to no name hubs.
They're not the lightest wheels and they won't take a proper bashing on a rocky CX course but they're fine for commuting and tow path riding etc. I've only put 3 or 4 rides in to them
The pair is yours for £80 if you're interested

Thanks Thuekr! those are exactly what I'm after, now to translate the page from Danish :) Also thanks big daddy wayne but I'd rather spend a bit more on wheels for now and get a set that are really gonna last me. Cheers guys!

Sorry, seems like they have been sold.
Looking for some wheels for road, commuting and possibly some cyclocross/ off-road riding. basically a strong all rounder with a high spoke count. Ideally like Hope pro 3 to open pro or something similar? doesn't matter if they're well used looking to spend around £150.
Cheers, Ben.
