Everything is relative. I don't mind paying £2 for a pint of Tennents if its local, do mind paying £4 for whatever shit pint you'll get thrown at you in any big capital. Carling, Fosters, Kronenbourg, San Miguel, Stella, .... all made by the same huge conglomerate in the same factory and all piss. Or Sweden, fuck... Spendrups lager was always the cheapest (this word very relative to context) and it makes Tennents look artisanal.
Some really nice lagers coming out of London when I left mind you-Meantime is fantastic and was served by my local, much preferable.
