    Dave Russell Frame - £150

My Dad bought this after it was built for another rider but ended up surplus to requirements prior. My Dad never built it, and I understand its never been ridden. There are a few marks from storage / moving house, but nothing major.

Top tube is 53cm C-C, seat tube is 55cm top to bb centre. Time Trial geometry.

Complete with campag headset and bottom bracket, and one downtube shifter.

    Cinelli Angel Bars - £70

Complete with brake levers. Bars in good condition, the finish on the levers has come off.

More / better pics on request.

Also got a pair of tubular wheels from the same era, Mavic GP4 rear with 5 speed shimano cassette, cant remember what the front is. Ask if interested.

Located in Saltash, Cornwall but will post

  • Could you post a pic of the frame with wheels on it? Also, does it have horizontal or vertical dropouts? Thanks

  • Bit of a bargain for the TT frame! GLWS

  • Hi,

Will post pic of frame with wheels Friday night or Saturday when I am next home. I have some more pics on my phone I am email if you give me your email address.

Drop outs, look horizontal from the picture!?

Also, the frame takes a 27.2mm seat post, and a modern 10 speed rear fits.

  • horizontal, but short - might work with a half-link

  • Thanks jetski.

  • Do these wheels look right on this frame?

Had to let some air out of the rear to get it on!

  • Any interest before I turn to the dreaded ebay?

  • Nice kit, especially the frame. Think your prices for wheels and bars may be a little toppy though - might get a couple more sniffs at them if you tried a drop or two before t'bay.

  • Thanks for the advice. I am open to offers étoile anyone be interested at a lower price.

  • Ah yes I knew " Fatty" Russell - always thought to be to a shade dodgy.....we are talking 1968 / 69 when he used to come into Pat Rohan's shop trying to flog stuff, ah happy ish days....

Looks like the Russell emblem was pilfered for the club Swan Velo - a break away of the Hillingdon CC when a rift occurred- not unusual in the cycling world unfortunately

  • £125 posted for the wheels?

  • £100 for the wheels?

Bars are on eBay with a £50 start.

I'm surprised no one wants the frame!

  • Ending on ebay today at 6pm!

  • Worth saying that the link above is to an auction which ended without any bidders, but if you look at my other items you will see that it has been relisted.....
