It was a carb'd model, a very utilitarian flat black with the flat bars off a new street triple. I love Avon roadrunners, used to use those years ago on various older bikes. Yup suspension is a weird mismatch of too soft at the front and stiff at the back, with a lack of rebound damping both ends - makes things seem a bit flighty over 80mph. It was nice to have a big squidgy seat and flat bars though, with the noise it made me feel decidedly macho... ;) A tooth less on the front and a couple more on the back sprocket might liven things up, they feel very over geared.
I'm going to try and have a go on an old one soonish. Less power but a lot less weight, fun when they are working, or so I'm told.
