I hate that visor so hard. Also I don't understand it, need to show the top hair for the ladies? Is the hair fake and just glued on to a regular bike cap?
Also it looks more crywank than zen mode. What do you think he is listening to? My guess Frightened Rabbit - Keep Yourself Warm - YouTube

(In a rare moment of visual clarity from the pretty ropey TV cameras...) Loved the slo mo on his face when the realisation hits home

He is really going to go far! Hopefully he will make the tour this year!

Orica aren't daft enough to send a neo-pro to the Tour. He might ride the Vuelta, but that'll depend on how much racing he has through the summer and how fresh he is.

That look from Cav when he looked right and saw Degenkolb coming through; he srsd real quick.

Great ride from Wiggins, a lot of talk of him being on 2012 form (and the whispers that go with it) but not totally convinced yet. A glance down the top ten isn't overly impressive. Still I think of the back of this impossible not to pick him for July, and what a clusterfuck that could be if he's taking chunks of time out of Froome in the ITT. Makes me lick my lips: Hinault and LeMond anyone?
Great win by Cav considering, wonder if he's got the legs to take Kittel though. Again a lip-licking showdown between old warhorse and young pretender. Really want Cav to take home a chunk of stage wins.

Wiggins looks in ridiculously good form. Dive bombing after Sagan downhill and shit.

Come on Tim

I thought it was a terrific race, made, as races always are, by the riders. Great performances by the smaller teams, up and coming talent with Yates, Craddock and Dennis, exciting breakaways and a thrilling escape from Phinney.

Thing is, there's no ITT until stage 20, so Sky could probably get away without too much angst, that is presuming Wiggins loses some significant time to Froome in the mountains...

I thought Wiggo made it clear before that he would be riding for Froome.
then again, he is a bike racer...
then again, team orders are strict @ Sky...

Still, it sets up an intriguing possibility. Wiggo is desperate to start the TdF in his own country, and lets face it the fans here will be too (more so than Froome) so he is making all the right noises. If he was a dog he's be rolling over and showing his belly to Froome for a tickle. But once on the roads who knows? Ah well, could be fun.
I thought the ToC coverage was excellent too, the best, most informative graphics for a bike race I have yet seen.

I agree. Much more exciting than the Giro to date.

Because dry.
He did make most of what I saw look easy but did he actually have any competition? Rohan Dennis was only 30s off the pace and he's not exactly a GT contender (yet).

Yeah the top ten was hardly what you'd call GT contenders, yet anyway. Still you can only beat what is in front of you and he was pretty commanding.

I totally agree with this - make a big mention of it in my Round-up which I have just posted:
