  • Nigella is a spice: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigella#Culinary

Hmm the description sounds good. Will try.

  • Love Hawksmoor, hate this sort of reverse snobbery

"Seven years ago we took on a failed Turkish restaurant at the dodgy end of a dodgy East London street and knew that we wanted to turn it into a temple to steak."

Don't really consider the City end of Commercial St east london and 7 years ago it was well and truly gentrified.

  • Yeah I'm sending their newsletter to junk from not on, they can fucking do one. It's only meat ffs.

  • it's not even reverse snobbery. it's full fat forward snobbery.

    posh cunts.

  • commerical st is still well shit

  • I love posh food

  • It did used to be a dump, long time ago now tho'...

I used to do a night in those converted toilets in front of the church just after they got done up... Cheapest prossies in London after dark...

    According to my mate...

  • Wait, what is reverse snobbery? Isn't it feeling too good for the posh shit?

  • Don't really consider the City end of Commercial St east london and 7 years ago it was well and truly gentrified.

Has Anyone Really Been Far Even as Consider the City End of Commercial St to do Look More Gentrified?

  • Oh wait, your sentence does actually make sense. As you were.

  • Just undergrammatised.

  • It did used to be a dump, long time ago now tho'...

I used to do a night in those converted toilets in front of the church just after they got done up... Cheapest prossies in London after dark...

    According to my mate...

  • Public Life? I loved that place. I think.

Everything about it, apart from the location, was awful...

  • I went to a place and ate a thing. The place was total shit. The thing was rad. I took an Instagram, as one does. http://instagram.com/p/oEh3JIGCi9/

  • My oldest, oldest friend is also called José Joaquin... Congrats...

    Nice lookin' burger...

  • I used to do a night in those converted toilets in front of the church just after they got done up... Cheapest prossies in London after dark...

    According to my mate...

Only time I've ever been offered business, unsolicited I might add, was down Commercial Street of a Friday evening a few years back. So blunt was her opener* (why wouldn't it be if that's your earner - no sense skirting the issue) I made her repeat herself as I was sure I'd misheard/understood.

Turned out I hadn't and she could have been mine for the evening or 10 minutes, however I liked it. I'd declined and scurried to the nearest club before a price had been suggested, so cannot verify your pal's claim. I often think about her and what could have been, but I feel I made the right choice leaving her brokenhearted..

    *not a euph.

  • ^^Yeah man it was good. Pastrami and mustard on rye (with caraway seeds the way God intended when He invented it.) I guess I was sticking with the Jewish food theme.

  • Spectacular lunch today at O Cantinho... Deep fried breaded Octopus and migas; fried rice, black eyed peas, spinach and breadcrumbs...

Fucking amazing... Never seen it on the menu before, one of the best things I've ever eaten...

  • no steak? you feeling ok?
