Clive, the surgically-qualified GP in my local practice is going to be checking up on my skull every week. I haven't abandoned medical care at all - I just walked away from a poor implementation.

All the best to your recovery Bruce. Hope to see you bright-eyed and whisky-tailed soon enough (when it's safe obvs).

Please don't be frustrated with us Bruce, it's only because we give a fuck. And because Hatbeard is a big gay hoser.

Glad to hear you are on the mend!
Can't get back on my own bike because bloody KCH still has it locked away somewhere.
They treated you badly and stole your bike, I think you need to write some letters.

The real test is to ask him a complex question...
Bruce, what's your name?!

or
how many bikes is Iain riding.

This morning I finally retrieved my bike from the hospital. The KCH security staff are so much nicer than the medical staff.

Hows it looking? Wheels roughly round?
-

It is all in good shape. No damage to the wheels. Stem was slightly misaligned, which I think is because there was a whole stack of bikes in the security office, rather than because of the crash.

Glad you're on the mend, itsbruce. Take it easy.

I did some cycling at the Tweed Run but I am now effectively off the bike for the next few weeks. My shoulder and rib need to heal, which isn't helped by potholes and the like.
Of course, I'll never manage to spend a whole week without cycling but it'll just be occasional local jaunts (e.g. down to the velodrome at weekends).
Best thing is how supportive my colleagues are being. Whole culture here has really turned around since the new CIO started.

Well you can always come here if you feel in need of a reassuring dose of abuse and discouragement.

I really wish I was up to WNKR at the moment but that'll need another couple of months, I think.

Only just discovered that thread! Merde!
Glad you're fine and still Scottish...
Get better soon. -

Can't believe you came out to HH on Sunday to make cocktails, Bruce... Epic... Good to see you stubbornly out and about...

Was relaxing and rewarding to watch the polo crowd, Joe. Also my last bit of fun before having to return to work.

I have seen him, and he's looking pretty suave.
Glad you're so up and able mate.
Really soory to hear about this. Pleased that you are recovering and fully understand your frustration with your treatment but, please please, take care. The repercussions of head injuries can endure for a very long time.
