So I got in touch with Sennheiser about warranty on my CX980s. They're still within warranty period and I found the TK Maxx receipt but got the double whammy of the important half of the ink having been rubbed off the receipt (presumably from being stuck in my wallet) that bit is basically blank, you can just about make out that they're listed on there as 'Lifestyle product'.
Sennheiser emailed back saying unfortunately that won't really cut it, but they'll offer me 35% off a new pair of headphones from their online store.
Tempted but not sure what to go for and whether I'm willing to spend enough to get proper equivalents for the CX980s. The RRP on them was £190 and I got them from TK Maxx for £77, so I know I'd have to spend a fair bit more for an equivalent product...
