Hey lebowski, thought I recognised a forum face briefly this morning, glad we could help!
Hey! Same, I sort of recognised a face, but not enough to commit to a head nod or heaven forbid a 'hello'. Thanks for the coffee, will definitely be back.

That looks slightly metallic. Make sure it is very well flushed afterwords. I'd maybe let it scale a little with London water, and then run on bottled water only, like Tesco Ashbeck.
I will do that.
Cheers Rob

If you can't be arsed to queue at Monmouth in Borough go a couple of doors down and grab a coffee at 'Elliots'. [It looks closed but is open]
They open at 7.30 and are using their own Square Mile blend - They've just got a new girl working there who makes one of the best coffee's I've had in London and is way better than Monmouth's at the mo
This, had a great flat white there.

Haha! Textbook. You're safe risking a hello when someone's working on the bar, we've got to be nice to everyone! Hahaha.

Just got Climpson's Spring Espresso.. looking forward to trying that tomorrow morning.
I've also been drinking The Fields blend from Climpson's recently, which has a really nice butterscotch/ berry flavour.

Just got some Malawi Mzuzu from the only shop I know to carry good coffee in Nottingham (Delilah's)- it is incredible. Smooth and sweet and a nice medium strong roast.
Just pushed Malabar Monsooned off the top perch for my daily sessioning coffee I think. -

Smashing back Square Mile's Reko Yirga like Ribena. This and the El Mirador are just stunning coffees. It's hard to check out other stuff when one roaster is kicking out endless bangers like this.

Scottish Aeropress Championships this afternoon. Don't know if I should start getting nervous around now. Still got around 100g of the 'championship beans' to play with until then and an hour before the heats start to faff around with grind settings in 'free practice'.

This morning's jam - Cortado @ Café Grumpy

• #9741
I only found out what a Cortado was on my last day in NY. I just asked for a Flat White wherever I went and everyone seemed to know what I was on about.

Flat Whites are milkier in my experience, too milky. Hotter, too.

I tried another coffee from Solberg ⅋ Hansen.
It is called "Black Coffee" and is a black metal themed coffee, launched during a fashion week, made by guys who wear questionable scarves, and whose coffee roastery is best known for winning design awards from their packaging. There are red flags all over the place.*
I am really enjoying it however. Pleasant strawberries in cream sort of deal. I wonder what it would be like if they natural processed it. At any rate, I approve of almost nothing about it, the package even says "true" on it when it is clearly as "trend" as anything could be. Taste-wise though, solid A-.

Anyone interested in a little project?
Have a Bezzera BZ99 for sale for the bargainous price of £99
what's the catch…
It's had new lectrics put in at some point and I've replaced the pump 6 months ago. However, The pressurestat looks to have gone which means the safety over pressure valve is kicking in, I can't say for definite that it's the pressurestat but that's my guess. The steam and water plastic handles are also cracked and need replacing. Parts for the Bezzers are readily available in the UK.
I've decided to upgrade rather than fix. IMO this is a good little project for anyone who's got a fair idea of what they're doing or are pretty mechanically minded [I have all the schematic diagrams for this]
Heat up time on the machine is 20 minutes and once it's up to pressure you can pretty much bang out flat whites pretty constantly.
So the caveat is, cheap price for a good little project but please don't blow yourself up
I'm beginning to think that Jeez is Lynchman.
