BRM, are you spending all that cash on the B series or putting something else in?
Because if you are planning custom fuel injection anyway there must be any number of rusty cheap Rover 820s with a good strong 16 valve motor that will bolt straight in to the existing gearbox and engine mounts. 140bhp as standard with potential for a lot more. There was a longitudinal version in the Discovery with an inlet manifold facing the right way. (They used the FWD version in the Morgan with a long trunking going round to the front.)
If you mean the K Series, it's a ballache in an MGB. Crossmember choppy-choppy and firewall too. I am not doing that shit. Add a gearbox and driveshaft (and radiator, poss diff, etc) and you still have a rubber bumper mgb. the zetec is supposed to be the easiest to get in a b.
I've looked at the options and for what i am doing you wouldn't even get a half arsed engine swap that you'd just want to spank more cash on or a budget v8 swap. i'd rather keep this because i like it and get a bmw 2002 to go silly on.
