So after buying a slightly to large Pinarello Asolo , Ive admitted defeat and sold it to my MD at work :(

I have a real soft spot for Pinarellos but have been unable to find what I want in my size. Ill keep looking but in the meantime Im going to use the other parts I've been collecting on a Faggin frame I've been hoarding for a while. I haven't ridden it before as its 1-2cm smaller than my current ride but may be ok when I build it up so lets see how it goes !...

The frame is really rather nice, I think its mid 80s, possibly Columbus SL judging on the decal. Chrome is very good and has lots of Panto. Main decals read Faggin Competition del Mondo Competition. Most other frames I have seen from this era don't have the Competition part and also have Gipiemme dropouts while mine has Campag and also a Cinelli bb shell so its quite unusual, a slightly higher spec'd bike perhaps? Its certainly light, around 1750g for the frame. Any insight welcome..

Th electric blue chromovelato frame is quite striking , though is starting to come off on places .
