Hello mister, are the Quando hubs in fixed/fixed flavour?
-
• #608
Quando are fixed and free..We have double fixed in black Miche.

will be ordering end of this month... cheers.
Quick bit of info, other than choice of depths of rim, is there a difference between your allow track racers and ones built to spec?
http://www.v-sprintwheels.com/pages/track-wheels-alloy-race.html
are essentially what I'm after with silver spokes... but will be commuting on them... it's your 'even commuting on these' comment that has made me a little nervous... what would be the difference to the regular 30mm deep rim you use? -
• #610
The rim on the race wheels is a different profile and doesnt not have a specif braking surface....hence you could commute on them...

Chaps...I have a brand new rear wheel, which is a return due to incorrect spec ordered.
Black Miche
Black Spokes
Black Mach 1 rim..Brand new...These are £134 (usually £144) forum price for the pair. You can have this one for £65 posted. Jim.

Is it double fixed or fixed free?
-
• #613
yeah, i'm interested if it'll take a freewheel? does the rim have a braking surface?
-
• #614
read rest of thread now and see it doesn't, cheers anyway.
-
• #615
Yes it's machined for a brake and yes it will take a freewheel. Hub is flip flop..

This one is sold...

Just placed an order :) any chance of it coming with an 18t instead of the 16t?

Jim - where do you get the boxes from that you shipped my wheels in last year - I've got a couple of sets I need to sell and can't find any cardboard boxes that are good fit!
-
• #619
Hi mate..they are specific boxes we have made. I would suggest you ask at a local bike shop as they will have some or even Halfords and you can adapt a bike box.

Hey I noticed when changing cogs on a set of quando hub wheels I just bought from yourself that there was a small spacer between the cog and the locking, is it advised to always run this spacer or is it only with the stock cog and ring?
Cheers

• #621
Its just stock mate to enable the metal to not bite when tightening down...Jim.

Received mine on friday.
Love them.
Cheers Varno
Sorry to dredge this, but just looking at buying some wheels and wondering how you got them without the decals? Is this just an acetone job, or am I missing an option on the website somewhere?
Cheers

You referring to the decals on the rims? They are just stickers.

I am, and that answers it! I was sure I had seen somewhere on here that the vsprint decals were hard to remove but that may have been in a different context... cheers!
machined then painted, or just painted unmachined? I'm after something like that as my front wheel is about to explode.
