For sale: a 57cm Gazelle Champion Mondial AB with most of a Mavic SSC group

Reynolds 531c tubes, gazelle panto on the fork crowns, in white/cream... plenty of scratches and small dent on the top tube right on the tip of the seat lug... head badge is missing but are cheap on ebay... check out the photos

These are really nice frames - the plan was to build it up as a commuter/pub bike/street sleeper with the rare Mavic components for a mate who has now decided to go down the 'cycle to work' route... boring.

531c frame and fork, campagnolo dropouts, Mavic headset, in good order but tool marked, scratched, shimano bb - £SOLD
Mavic SSC front mech - £20
Mavic SSC (Simplex) down tube shifters - £25 NOW £15
Mavic stem - £SOLD pending collection
Mavic bars - £SOLD
Mavic (Modolo) calipers - £SOLD
Mavic SSC cranks and chainrings - £35 - NOW £20

the cranks could do with a polish...

crap alloy 27.2mm post and naff foam saddle - free with frameset
shimano 600 tri colour rear mech - £5
Gipiemme aero levers - £10

Wheels are Mavic 550 hubs laced to MA40 rims, rear wheel needs truing, nipples are rusty - I would rebuild the wheels if I were to ride them... £50, again could do with some polishing... NOW £45

Cheers, think he wants a 'do everything' bike - he's looking at a Genesis CDF or similar... the Gazelle was just a shade too small for him...

Well to take the "crap alloy 27.2mm post and naff foam saddle" off you, you should actually pay the guy :p :p ;)

Anyway these frames ride wonderfully. It would have been a nice companion to my gf Gazelle AB frame once build up.
"Shame" I got the Holdsworth and the Venom otherwise I'd have take this in a heartbeat!

^If I didn't have two other near identical CM frames in my own stable I'd have bought this for myself... they are great!

Issue is I might also have some components to put on this!
I dismantled a Elswick-Hopper to clean up and re-build, but the frame (with headset, stem and stuck seatpost) was stolen last week, so I've all the components that could go cheaply on this (which would be a shame). Also found a chap who's selling a lovely Golden Arrow wheelset for my Holdsworth for dirty cheap, so I could put the Maillards on this. Just need a stem and voila', a fully working bike.

But have no space for it and it'd be a shame to put very cheap stuff on this (a part from the brakeset)

Anyway...the more I talk, the more my hands try to reach for the wallet...so...GLWS!

well I'm sure I have a stem you could have for cheap...
