Rain make people more impatient in order to make sure their cars don't get as wet as possible.
-
• #878
Fuck off wind. Fuck off tree jizz.
But mostly, fuck off people who think it's acceptable to wear pulled up rugby socks on a bike.
-
• #879
What about rolled down rugby socks? (I ran out of acceptable socks about two days ago)
I apologise should my lack of sartorial preparedness offend you.
-
• #880
I'm all in favour of rolled up rugby socks. It's usually a pretty good early warning signal that some shitty riding is about to take place (present company excepted ;) )
-
• #881
^ This. Semi-nodder uniform isn't it. Its a pre warning to steer clear.
-
• #882
Present company has been guilty of his fair share of shitty riding recently, so I wouldn't make the exception!
-
• #883
Had my first experience with treeborne skullfuckery this morning and my eyes are still full of jizz.
-
• #884
Rolled down socks can be forgiven, as long as you're not also wearing rugby shorts.

Apologies to the lady who expressed disdain on the Bloomsbury cycle path, cycling infront of what was an ungentlemanly, inappropriate and possibly rash and stupid overtaking manoeuvre of somebody who had stopped at a pedestrian crossing; mental note made to be much calmer when cycling along that path; might even seek out a different East-West route altogether (but not Euston Road!) (or, maybe Euston Road, no, probably not that route);

That path is designed to generate frustration in all who sail upon and across her. And drive next to her.
And cycle not on her but on the road because you want to turn left by the big Waterstones.

watched a cyclist pull out last minute to overtake a bus almost get run over by an HGV. honestly thought for a moment he was a goner, well done to the lorry driver also pulled further out to avoid him..
-
• #888
Well that was a perfect example of the great British weather, I'm piss wet through, and it looks like a summers day, all within 10 minutes. Good.

how the cunting fuck did I get three punctures on the way home. all in separate places. supposed to be decent tires too. shitballs. wheels have been sent to the naughty step.

You would have thought after last night death at EC and the other accident on Upper Thames Street people would pay a bit more caution today, doesn't seem for some people that it matters and they carry on with there wreakless rding. Guy who had stopped at the red light, then decided to roll through narrowly missing a motorbike, the prick that cut me up on Kennington park road just as you merge into the middle lane, just past Oval station. Just pulled right across me into my space, meaning I had to pull out into the traffic to avoid him, and getting wrath of the driver who I';d just pull in front of. Caught up with the bloke and had a word, appreantly I was going to fast, the fact that who overtake me to get the space left me speechless. I did see further up the road that someone else was having a word with him.

^ Sunshine fairies out this morning.

Was that a death at E+C last night?
I don't usually go that way but it looked awful.
-
• #895
Unfortunatley yes, Believe the driver has been arrested on casuing death by dangerous driving.
-
• #896
Horrible news. Makes you think twice.

Man it pisses my off when people hug your back wheel. It's not a club run, this is London commuting. Depending on the person I'll either a) slow down, b) bunny hop over a pot hole, or c) start singing "I've got a song that'll get on your nerves" loudly in a stupid voice.
I don't mind. Makes me think "I'm faster and you know it"

Euston road is the shit! I loved cycling along it when I worked there!

Decent commute today. Nobody out to kill me. Well except that silly situation, when I slowed down due to a girl walking on the cycle path, totally unaware of her surroundings, when at the same time another cyclist riding the cycle path wrong way round came my way and a car pulled out of an entry right into the cycle path, all in 10m distance or so. Quite a slalom.
Does rain make people crazy? What the actual fuck was going on this morning?
Edit; at least the trees have stopped blinding me with tree semen.
