I have now upgraded my Pinkarello 1" forks and I now have leftovers that didn't suit my build.
I was trying to swap these forks for 1" 1/8th ones but no luck so here we are.
I have taken pictures of the forks fitted with a Mavic Aksium front wheel & a Continental GP4000S 700x25 to give you an idea of the clearance. Not sure what the rake is on either set but have a look at the pictures! You can easily find 1" threadless headsets on eBay.
First is a very desirable set of Profile Design SC straight bladed carbon threadless forks.
From what I gather, these were threaded and the steel steerer has been cut underneath the threading, making them threadless. The condition is above average, a couple of marks on the blades and some light flaking around the brake bridge, nothing major - as expected from 1" forks that are approximately 15 years old.
Second in line is a lovely set of Aprebic alloy threaded forks. Dated 1999. 22.5cm steerer with 2cm of english threading. You could just cut them and go threadless! 564g only so lighter than the carbon ones, especially if you cut the steerer.
The condition is good, just a couple of light scuffs in the lacquer but you could easily polish them off.
