I think they are misunderstanding 'spacers'. MTB BBs usually come with two 2.5mm thick cup spacers to allow use in 73mm shells without spacers or 68mm shells with spacers. The thing you need in a BB with Shimano sized bearings to make it work with GXP axles is more a shim than a spacer. This is the Hope one, presumably the CK one is much the same
