Ahh where had the stout? I remember just the brown ale and lager.
I'd be up for south end, have done longer rides like that on mine before but never to south end.

I so want one :-(

^^^ Hope you alright Tom!
^^ There was a Stout in bottles at the last pub, but it being 10% I took one home and had it later. Pretty mad drink.
I've ridden my Brooklyn to Brighton on a second HHSB ride, and done the Southend route many times, but never on a Gangsta. There are some paths I'd like to ride, but never braved it on 23c.
SP, just buy one!

Where from?!
-

Second hand is the only way of getting one afaik.
^^Ah shoulda got some, last time I rode to Brighton on the brooklyn was november, we encountered some floods so just did about 5 miles of fields/paths.

Josh, keep an eye in a Brooklyn thread, people normally let everyone know in there first. Have money ready and be patient.
We should see in here first if anyone else would be up for a seaside ride. Summer would be ideal for it, as in a winter most of that area was flooded too.

For sure, could be like John's 130km off road to brighton but less hilly and more chilled.

Was a really good ride! It was good meeting you all!

Like the idea of a ride to Southend. I went to a wedding there once and had some very nice fish and chips!

Good to meet you too. Just saw your avatar and it brought memories - think I bought XTR pedals from you in around 2008-9? One of my first purchases via the forum.

Yeah thanks for organising Paramount, had a blast.
I'm ok just leg looks a mess and sore. Bike fine bar ripped seat and bashed bar end but all good. Think I remember a car honking and avoiding me!
Def up for a seaside ride, let's sort something out.
Oh and awesome pics! -

Good times great to meet everyone and soak up some Brooklyn beers and Brooklyn bike eye candy.
Apologies for lowering the tone with the non-gangster (and emptying my pockets into the road repeatedly mid-ride) ! -

It looks like there are 5 people who would be interested in a ride to South-end-Sea. We should pick the date that suits everyone best. I'm free most weekends, so not to bothered when.
Also, should overs be welcome as long as it fits the theme (bigger tires/risers)? -
• #171
I think anyone willing to ride it fixed with risers and bigger tyres should be welcome, I'll check my dates tomorrow and let you know when I'm free. You know the route or should I put it in the garmin?
-
• #172
I know the route up to the point I didn't go before, it's the one dimi3 showed us last year. About last 10 km we could take a detour along the path going closer to the water, some of it can be seen when you take the train back between Southend and South Benfleet. What's the bit where people will need bigger tires.

This route, that I've done this year, has more country lanes and less traffic on the way from London up until Basildon, then it's one road, that leads in to Southend.

I might join you, but not too sure yet if I can make it, so I won't sign up for this just yet. -

Great ride folks, pleasure meeting you all.
Managed to come off my bike about 500m from home so jeans shredded and 7inch gash on my leg, good times!
