  • Love it. But I wouldn't spunk 5 large on it.

Supposedly a much better strengthening treatment on the Seiko titanium.

  • asla?

Spoke to will check them out,

    Swiss time services .

Cheers, not tried them yet but will bear in mind

  • My GF is after a watch and has some fairly specific requirements that I can't seem to find on the high street... She's after a circular face, preferably silver, which isn't too big and "isn't sparkly". Essentially, something pretty classic. I've been looking at Cobra and Bellamy but I think that the only round faced watch that they do might be a bit big for her taste (and slim wrists):

Are there any other brands that I should be looking at that are similar in style? Ideally around the £150 mark.

    Thanks!

Take a look at Certina - often overshadowed by bigger Swiss names, but some really nice stuff. Bought my wife a very simple and elegant automatic from the DS Podium range.

  • Considering this but lack of deployment is putting me off.

  • Also look like it issued by Gamleys.

  • Think I saw them at the Old Blue Last

Their first album, Tagnuts, is excellent.

Does it have to be new?

  • Trying to come to a final decision on a Heritage Black Bay. It is fcking lovely and September is a long way away.

    Think of it as foreplay.

  • Thanks for the pointers, will look at those two brands.

Does it have to be new?

As to the above, potentially no - hadn't thought of second hand, although I guess there may be some nice classic watches knocking about. She really likes my 1950s Vertex which is a very simple looking watch.

  • I received these in the post this morning. Nice addition to Jana's collection.

Really good condition for 30+ year old plastic. Doubt they have ever been worn.

The manual movement proudly proclaims "Swiss Made - 1 Jewel" on the back. It has kept time so far today.

Thanks to Soul (I think) for posting the eBay link.

I thought they were really cool
    good work!

  • Sorry, thanks Crispin Glover.

Hope Jana likes them. I think they're great.

  • Ithankyou

  • Also, ace, I assumed it was one watch with 3 spare cases/straps

  • They're awesome, she'll most definitely like them if you resist the urge to wear them.

Your assumption was correct. Just the one pop-out movement. Pretty industrial but it works.

  • ^^ Cheers Ed.

As already said, it wasn't me who posted the link.
I am owed thanks for not buying it though. I was very very close to pulling the trigger....

Knew I should have bought them. Could have given the other 3 out to my friends and...

    Captain Planet!

  • ^Enough fists in that last post to make Julian Cleary blush.
