Save a bit of weight and clean up the lines by trimming the stays just beyond the bolt.

Hi, I'm getting into making wooden fenders. The first few were for myself and friends but have started to try selling them...
What do you think?
Thanks :)!

Looks heavy, short and precariously attached.
'Looks' mighjt be the operative word.

You might struggle with the existing one that's currently being sold.

It's not the lightest of mudguards out there, I'll agree on that one! Nice and strong though. I'm trying to get a hold of some thinner wood to make them up with, results to follow :)! I wasn't looking to make a full length fender, just one to keep road spray off your back, not intended for the 'all weather' cyclist perhaps.
Thanks for the comments guys, appreciate the tips!

Is there a bracket ont other side of the brake?
-
• #235
Bracket arm is also far too short.
You need to says why is it worth going for your wooden mudguard over the other offering?
-

Don't try and sell it as useful, more as an artsy crafty accoutrement.
Market it through 3rd wave coffee shops and workwear inspired mens clothing boutiques. -

A very good point, sell as a Foffa accessories.

Cause it' doesn't distributed the force well (the mount on the guard rather than brake).

You are the "guilty" for what I have done so far.I have a million great ideas and I need a little time to realize all. Here are some models
and more models coming soon.
