Migrating from vBulletin to Microcosm

Can you clarify what will be lost and what will be transferred.

Do we all have to make accounts on persona for microcosm? If so does that mean that essentially all data associated with a username will no longer link to it?

Are all the threads and posts being moved over or does it start from scratch?

How about stats, rep, PMs, post count, etc?

Most of the forum content will migrate:

vBulletin => Microcosm

Profiles => Profiles
Avatars => Avatars
Forums => Forums
Threads => Conversations
Posts => Comments
Attachments => Files
Private Messages => Messages
Follows => Follows
Subscriptions => Follows

Persona is only the authentication bit... we will migrate your profile in some way. But we are not going to migrate your password. You will get the chance to verify your email and pick a new password using Persona.

Microcosm doesn't have some things, so these bits are vanishing:
Reputation
Tags
Ignores
Bans

I could do Tags => Comments, so the time of a tag automatically inserts a post with the tag content as the comment within the conversation. But you all ignored me and went and treated them as semi-private... so I don't know what harm comes about from making them all public. Plus there are still tens of thousands in the system as a result of the defacing... it would ruin some threads. So tags are likely gone for good.

I could also do Reputation => Messages, so you get a private message for every rep comment left. But I don't know whether people want all the negative ones, nor whether these were ever considered to be something worth keeping. The rep score would be lost either way.

Ignores we have no equivalent of just yet. I'm hoping that lots of people using the system in an angry way (new Microcosms haven't had the need yet) will help define how this should work. In which case we'll be starting from scratch.

Bans I can import over, but there's only a few individuals who are likely to return that are banned, and I'd rather use them to help build a better system.

The tricky ones bogging me down today is that vBulletin Usergroups don't have an equivalent in Microcosm. Microcosm has Roles, Role Members and Permissions... but they function differently enough to be an issue.
