Really? I'll need to google.
I thought it was just because as I lie in bed and look to my left I'm like 4ft from the window so get quite a wide viewing angle through it whereas the mirror is around 10ft from the window so reflects a narrower view through the window. Kind of like why perspective and stuff looks different through telephoto and wide angle camera lenses.
