Just curious, coaster or rim brake?
There's no torque arm visible, so probably for a rim brake?
-
• #7
That said, any idea what the rim is?

Rim brake and the rim is Create. Works well and you can, I believe, get 15 to 21 tooth sprockets.

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=281301546124&alt=web
Any particular reason the Ebay link is posted. Am I profiteering on £53 ?, 50 mile round trip to collect, cleaned ,regreased and spring altered, and £5 donation to forum.......and Hub is £69 new
Link added for additional information, that's all.
The eBay link states 36H hub and your description doesn't.
As for the forum donation, the last 10 threads you have started are 'For Sale' threads. Still no stars next to your name, but glad to see donation will be made on this one :-)

Thanks for the offer . I paid 53 plus fuel on 50 mile trip to collect.
However if you want it for 40 its yours. Pretty much as new and works beautifully.
Thanks

Gone to ebay. Thread closed
Hi,
I have for sale an interesting wheel. SRAM Automatix 2 speed hub on deep section blue rim with dark blue clincher. All almost new/minty. Some mimiscule braking wear (surface is machined underneath paint).
I bought this as an experiment to see if 2 speed auto hub would work for hill climb competition however all things considered I prefer fixed.
The quality of the Sram hub is superb and the auto changes are very smooth. It has had the spring tension adjusted to change at about 15.5 mph. As soon as that speed is reached it changes up and then that gear can be maintained even at low speeds if pressure is maintained. A fractional easing off and it will then change down (below 15.5 mph).
Quite a heavy rim but not really noticable in use and adds to smooth speed maintenence. Really nice wheel to ride.
£65 Dibs and PM please - can be collected from High Barnet (end of Northern Line anytime or Spitalfields on a Thursday)
