Ross Brawn says his visit to the Ferrari factory was just part of his holiday.

I believe him. :-D

I'd be surprised if he came back.
Bets this weekend? I think red bull will have closed the gap further, come on Merc!
-

I reckon podium will be
Hamilton
Ricciardo
RosbergFollowed by Vettel moaning down his radio.

Top 'photo with captions' in Autosport this week. Vettel and Ricciardo standing side by side:
Vettel: 'Tough luck'
Ricciardo: 'Does your car always make that whining noise when I pass you?' -

Brundle's take on the active suspension.
Similar to mine I'm not surprised to read.
Think active would be good. Less emphasis on aero

Lewis sent this to Seb at the and of last season...
Real apparently. LoL.
-
• #4233
Most likely Seb is getting out the car, but at first glance I thought he was stomping on it instead.
-
• #4234
^ that was Vettel's new/old car suffering complete loom short out failure, requiring a complete new loom/rebuild.
Which is why he was the only driver to miss out on P2.
Tough Luck.

More Tough Luck for Vettel today - bust gearbox = 5 place grid penalty down to 15th which is refreshing.
Pole for Hamilton was predictable.
Some would argue Maldonado crashing his car again was also predictable. All on his own this time. What a cock.
Good to see Bottas and Grosjean up in 4th and 5th, ahead of the Ferraris.

I feel bad for Alonso. He, IMO, is the best driver in Formula 1, but is stuck with below par equipment. How much longer can he stay?
An earlier comparison to Hamilton and Vettel both being superior when they had the best car, misses one important point. Hamilton has never been slower than any teammate. If in the same car, he's always been the faster. Vettel is now showing that it was the car from Newey that won, not his driving abilities.

I believe Alonso has flattered Ferraris performance since he signed for them, I assume that Di Montezemolos latest moaning is in recognition of the fact that FA is looking for somewhere to take his abilities and demands, rather than his belief that they (Ferrari) are any worse than they have been in the last three years. More heads to roll I think.

A bit OT, but also somewhat relevent.

it seemed like maldonado was to busy messing around with the buttons on his steering wheel to either a) stop accelerating b) steer away from the wall

Yet another stop and go for Maldonado causing a crash.

This F1 is so boring...
-
• #4242
Not to me.

Last 5 laps were ok, it's becoming like a flat stage of the Tour.

Lewis [Hamilton] is a big inspiration for me, and has been since he came into F1 in 2007. I also like the way he conducts himself away from the track.

Still better than Robert Kubica's antics off the F1 circuit eh?
-
• #4246
^^ Yep
^ Nope
-
• #4247
Kubica can never make it back to F1, because he was a bit of an idiot. One should not risk one's whole career on a whim.
Hamilton will never release a music single, because he could stop himself before it was too late. Unlike Kubica, who still pines for F1. Musical aspirations, no matter how ludicrous, do not affect driving.
-
• #4248
Kubica risked his life doing something awesome in his time off. Racing fucking rally cars.
In Hamilton's time off he pretends to make music... shit music, dates a bimbo, goes more bald and buys earrings.
Just sayin'.
