Hampstead isn't fun.
EDIT: Unless you're going down, then it's a blast.

There is nowhere in London that isn't single-speed-able, but there are some trickier lumps around Hampstead (North) and Forest Hill (South).

Rubbish. There's nothing better then lumbering up Highgate on bumpy, potholed, SUV riddled roads....

Yup! It's always exciting going down! It's just such a drag working up to those goshdarned summits! :(

Embrace the Crystal Palace hills.
I sometimes follow eastern thought and embrace my fears...
However, it's never when it comes to those godblasted hills!

Get a single speed Cannondale Bad Boy to confuse her......

It's nice round there. Everything on the main routes is manageable - the ones that sting tend to be fun little residential diversions.
Hey there friends! I plan on moving to London soon. I'd just like to know what areas are the most difficult for single speed cycling in terms of hills. My wife keeps telling me to trade my Felt Brougham in for a Cannondale Bad Boy. It's really getting kind of annoying... Any pointers would truly be appreciated. Cheers! :)
