They'll be back in League Two, with any luck.

Inshallah.

Monday was hard to take... but that's the way we play, that's what got us top of the league in the final week.
I'm gutted at the same time really happy about the overall improvement and real steps forward we made.
It's not yet over, going into the final game with a punt at the title is amazing

MANCHESTER City have offered two players to UEFA as office administrators, in payment for their £49m fine.
Footballers Fernandinho and Jesus Navas, who would be given lifelong photocopying duties at UEFA’s headquarters in Switzerland, are thought to oppose the move which would damage their international careers.

Kopites have gone a bit quiet...

It wouldn't damage Jack Rodwell's international career.

I really can't see how Arsenal fans are happy with the 4th place trophy every year... feels like defeat
-
• #102439
the only consolation is we'll have been beaten by a team that has cheated financially
the suarez's of ffp / wall street

Second in the league and you're still the victims.

Most of us aren't.
But we also don't have an inflated sense of expectation about how the club has a right to success, unlike some others I could mention.

Nope, we've only ourselves to blame.. it was in our hands and we fucked it up. A very young side so hopefully we can build on this with the added pressue of CL football
We need a stronger squad, we've really missed Henderson.
Yeah think about that

From what I've seen, from the comfort of my armchair, Henderson is a key player for you. When he plays well the team plays well.
Maybe Dalglish wasn't quite as daft as we thought (although £35m for Andy Carroll is still lolworthy).

I'm willing to put another tenner on that Liverpool won't finish second or higher next season.
The cheap dig from a kopite at Arsenal for finishing 4th is also lolworthy considering they're about 50/50 on finishing outside the top 4 since that start of the PL whereas Arsenal are 85% of top 4 finishes and actually winning the damn league.

My point was not winning feels like losing, especially when we got so close.

You've overachieved, played some great football now build on it. Enjoy it and don't start saying come next season that you're favourites for the title because of XYZ.
I'm going to say now, before the transfer window has opened that City and Chelsea going for even odds to win the league. Regardless of who they sign this summer.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd will fight out the remaining 2 CL spots.
City, deservedly will win the league. I'm pleased for Pellegrini as he'll finally have landed a big trophy and also as a bit of a >>>> to Madrid and to an extent to Mourinho. City have, by far, the strongest squad in the league and that's ultimately what will win them the league.
Chelsea, Arsenal, Utd will all come back stronger next season. Liverpool will have to invest heavily in order to cope with CL and PL football for the first time in years.
