you mean sprint specific track bikes no? endurance track bikes are not that tight
Have you watched a track race lately? Most of the top teams are using the same frames for endurance and sprinting these days. The requirements don't really change whether it's Ed Clancy doing a 20.0 opening lap in a pursuit or, er, Ed Clancy doing a 12.5 flying 250 in the Omnomnom

^In those days did riders have quick-release testicles that were stored in a medical facility for the duration of their race?

I recall what a friend said the first time we encountered the Adamo in a bike shop;
"That looks like a bottle opener for your balls." -

Short chainstays are a good way to shorten Wheel base, and help neutralise the handling differences on a small bike trying to run the same size Wheels as a normal sized bike. Thus I like them.
I have also been running Osymmetrics for 2014, and quite like them. Havent seen any added POWER of course. But its easier to climb out of the saddle, and they look insane. I'm not at all convinced about reduced fatigue claims. But I've decided to use them for next months 550km endurance event, as I do find them Nice to turn With tired legs.
Weirdly they took far less time to get used to than the barely oval Q-rings.

I was totally serious, just couldn't be arsed to explain as my english isn't sufficient and I knew you'd be along to do it.

Rep tester. Since stopping studying physics I've missed such discussions.

Same with clearance around the tyre at the fork crown - it used to be tight until somebody actually bothered to ask why, see my earlier post of UKSI/Trek/Look forks with big spaces for the air to pass through.

Pity the pump pegs cancel the aerodynamic advantage.

That's an old picture, it looks pretty good now that it has been repainted and stripped down:

A bit late, but to follow up on the short wheelbase for sprint frames/bikes discussion. It seems that the DDR certainly did not follow that 'rule'. Textima sprint from a couple of pages back, and my ex-Jens Fiedler FES has a long wheelbase even with the wheel right into the dropouts.
