  • Actually one thing I do do is if people hug my back wheel I slow down to lure them into overtaking then hug theirs.

    Poor form.

    #loveit.

  • I cannot believe they fall for it every time.

Did it last week at about 10pm on the South Circular. I just slowedright up on a slight incline to piss him off and he WENT FOR THE ATTACK. I stayed right on him, as he had done to me for about 3 miles, whistling and singing loudly.

He kept RLJing out of sheer frustration and distress but I'd just bomb right up behind him again.

    WAC etc.

  • You could just take turns on the front, have a nice ride and wave cheerfully as you part ways.

Or kick them in the liver.

  • Megabus to Lille meh

Also getting the train just 3 stops to get to the coach was depressing as fuck(no actually fuck is rather enjoyable) anyway made me think how much more I hope I'm never in an accident, going back to that even for a few weeks ugh

  • Or kick them in the liver.

Is the kidney punch ( Brave™) no longer in fashion?

  • You could just take turns on the front, have a nice ride and wave cheerfully as you part ways.

    I don't understand.

In all seriousness wouldn't we all prefer that?

It's difficult to roll and chat with strangers though.

  • Strikelists - good word. I have made a note of it and intend to use it in conversation. Hope that's OK...

    It's fiddy dorrah.

  • Why are people hugging back wheels in this weather anyway? I'm getting wet enough from the rain, I can do without getting a constant spraying from the rider in front.

  • Install a hidden pvc tube from the inside of your pants to a point on your back tire. In case of wheel hugging, simply take a leak.

  • ^solved

  • hopefully nothing gets tangled.

  • Install a hidden pvc tube from the inside of your pants to a point on your back tire. In case of wheel hugging, simply take a leak.

    Sodden with innuendo

  • I'll hug people's wheels if they overtake me at lights.

    Nothing fucks me off more.

Yes also this. But then I have fun dicking all over them as the faff around at the lights.

  • two cars in quick succession pulled off idiotic overtaking manoeuvres past me this morning. any protest was met by various rude hand gestures. so frustrating.

    smh.

  • Stacked traffic on the South Lambeth Road.

I'm behind a massive lorry of some kind with a load of other cyclists and I'm on the rightmost edge of our lane peering round to see if there's a chance to go up the oncoming lane.

Punk fixeh grrrrl steams past me to do just that, but rides straight into the path of an oncoming bus (hence why I was waiting) and bricks it. Bus has to hit the brakes and she just gesticulates at the traffic and tells the driver to fuck off.

    What a charmer.

  • First commute to Newark from Nottingham this morning. 25 miles, absolute bliss in the sunshine and countryside.

  • Fucking windy going westbound down stratford high st this morning.

  • While rushing from the university to work whileeverybody seemed to be out to kill me (bike paths != whatever YOU are using them for!) I spotted an elderly man on a fully upright electric city bike in full nodder mode... wearing an aero helmet with visor. Made me chuckle.

  • Cabbies protesting near London Bridge:

  • Protesting what, do you know?

  • Good for them. Addison Lee tossers muscling in...

  • Addison Lee do not have to indicate - FACT

  • Guy on an MTB last night along Kennington Park road, happy in his own little world with his headphones on, weaving all over the place, RLJing even steamed across a busy ped crossing all the while ring his stupid bloody bell for people to get out of his way. Problem was no one knew which way he was going to weave.

  • Interesting commute round Regents Park this morning. A jogger came flying out of the park right in front of me. I was traveling at 22mph and managed to avoid a full impact. Not sure how I stayed on my bike but he didn't stay on his feet. I warned him about the dangers of sprinting out like that as cyclists tend to come round the corner very quickly (North East side before you get to the zoo).
Then on the same lap, a van just pulled out in front of me and I bounced off it. Again managed to stay on my bike. I dunno what he was up to.
    It's mental out there
