It's good to hear I'm not the only one struggling with Miche hubs, their measuring seems to be way off. The fixed/fixed hub should offer up a 42mm chain line either side according to Miche, I have a 40mm chain line one side and 39/8mm maybe the other side. One side has been rendered useless, currently running 2x 1mm spacers and a Surely 17t sprocket which seems to be ok but by no means perfect. I'll get on the hunt for some Novatecs, cheers!
It's a pain really. While the chainset seems like it doesn't sit flush against the BB, it actually gives a perfect chainline. I'm using the single sided one and it's way off regardless of spacers, it's always completely off. I don't think the sprocket I'm using helps either. The square profile seems to suck the chain in somehow. I don't really understand the technicals as other people, but despite process of elimination, it's the Miche hub that seems to cause problems.
Try here first, super cheap Novatecs if they have the drilling/colour combination you want
Did Novatec ever do any of their hubs with hex nut option?
